Employment Discrimination

The law office of Belluck & Fox LLP represents individuals who have been discriminated against because of their race, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, age (over 40), national origin or disability. We also represent whistleblowers who qualify to bring a claim under existing laws.

We provide guidance whether you may have a claim under the CRA or federal Civil Rights Act, the ADA or Americans with Disability Act, the ADEA or Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and state and local acts that may provide additional protections.

If you have a legitimate claim we will sue your employer seeking back pay, front pay, compensatory damages, punitive damages and attorney’s fees, where provided for under the existing laws.

Examples of discrimination in employment include:

Firing or termination due to pregnancy

Firing or termination due to age, sex, disability or handicap, orientation, religion or national origin

Refusal to hire based on age, sex, pregnancy, disability or handicap, orientation, religion or national origin

Refusal to promote or pay appropriate salary based on age, race, sex, orientation, religion, disability or handicap, or national origin

Sexual harassment including quid pro quo discrimination (unwelcome sexual advances, typically between a superior and a subordinate, and generally taking the form of an expressed or implied ultimatum) and hostile environment cases ( unwelcome sexual advances or environment with verbal or physical conduct that creates a hostile or offensive work environment. This can include conduct of co-workers and may involve sexual jokes, slurs, comments and innuendoes)

Retaliation against employees who whistle blow or who complain about discrimination or environmental misconduct
The federal and state remedies against discrimination have strict time requirements to bring a claim. If you have been a victim of discrimination you should seek legal guidance promptly to assure that you qualify to bring a claim and that the time to file has not expired.

Belluck & Fox LLP will review any potential claim and advise you of your rights in a prompt and confidential manner, with no cost or obligation on your part. If you seek guidance on a potential claim, click here.
